Rick Ross & Birdman are Recording a Album and Movie



Rick Ross has already been promising his upcoming Trilla to be “one of the best albums of ‘08,” but the Slip-N-Slide/Def Jam blockbuster release, along with his upcoming Mi-Yayo DVD aren’t the only things keeping the 30 year-old busy.

“Me and Birdman are working on an album and a movie at the same time,” Ross told HipHopDX yesterday from his traveling tour bus. “We just feed the streets. Me being a fan of the hustle - the grind, [Birdman and I] have the same attitude and hunger coming from streets. He feels the same about me, you already know. We just went in the studio for the hood.”

Ross said that it was too early to confirm the project’s title, label or release date, but said that 2008 was likely, after the release of his upcoming album.

Young Buck Back With Cash Money


Last night, Cash Money Records rapper Lil Wayne performed at the Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga Tennessee.
At the end of the show, Lil Wayne brought out surprise guest Young Buck, who revealed that he was resigning to the Cash Money Records imprint.
Young Buck, who hails from Nashville, Tennessee, originally signed with Cash Money Records at the age of 17, in 1997. He left the label around 2000.

After a brief stint with Juvenile’s UTP Records, Young Buck signed with 50 Cent’s G-Unit imprint.

Details of the proposed deal were not available. Young Buck is preparing to release the upcoming compilation album Product of the South via his Cashville Records imprint, which is distributed by Red Distribution/Sony.

Texas pioneer Pimp C's cause of death remains undetermined, nearly two months after he was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room, the LA County Coroner's office told Teflon Tv.

"We are not releasing any preliminary information at this time," operations chief Craig Harvey told Us. "We're still conducting a series of tests. Once the test results are complete, then we will be in a position where we'll be releasing a final cause of death."

Harvey said that he expects test results to be available in the next 10-15 days.

Pimp C's body was discovered by the security staff of the Mondrian Hotel on December 4, one day after the 33-year-old rapper's family and friends say he was scheduled to check out of the property.

Officials at the scene stated that since he was found alone and no drugs or drug paraphernalia was present in the room, Pimp C, born Chad Butler, appeared to have died of natural causes.

Nine days later, funeral services were held in the artist's hometown of Port Arthur Texas, with several other rappers in attendance, including Mike Jones, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug and Bun B, who founded UGK with Pimp C in the early 1990s.

In late December, the LA Coroner's office ruled out the possibility of foul play as a cause of death.

Lil Wayne Arested AgaIn !!!!!
Law enforcement officials tell us Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter Jr., was arrested near Yuma, Arizona last night on three felony counts: possession of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cops tell TMZ that the Drug Enforcement Agency was involved in the arrest -- which means it's a big deal! We're told Lil' Wayne's tour bus went through a US Border Patrol checkpoint when the narcotics were allegedly found, that's when the DEA was called in.

Wayne is currently in the custody of the Yuma County Sheriff's Department, where he'll be held pending his arraignment at 9:00 AM Ps

TMZ has learned rapper Lil' Wayne has been hit with some big time charges -- possession of cocaine, possession of ecstasy and possession of drug paraphernalia. Make it rain!

Wayne, real name Dwayne Carter, was arrested with two others who have been charged with possession of marijuana. Cops say they found 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine and 41 grams of ecstasy pills on his tour bus -- after they stopped at a Border Patrol checkpoint.

Police also found $22,000 in cash and a 40-caliber pistol, but Wayne, we're told, does have a permit to carry a concealed weapon in the state of Florida. They tell us they're checking to see if that carries over to Arizona.

The judge set his bond at $10,000. He should be released in a lil' while.
